Our pie is made with rich wild venison, casseroled in a delicious red wine sauce. We encase this tasty filling in a shortcrust butter pastry made with locally milled flour and glazed with free-range eggs from Sherwood Farm in Hickling!
Our delicious Wild Deer pie is available in two sizes. The large pie serves 3-4 people, and our small pie serves 1-2 people.
What we would pair with the Brockleby’s Wild Deer Pie
We would pair our Wild Deer Pie with a generous serving of garlic mashed potato, green beans (cooked with bacon) and root vegetables such as carrots or parsnips. The ‘pros’ say that sweet potato (cooked any which way) and asparagus are also tasty sides for any venison dish!
