Sausage Making Workshop

Make a Kilo of the finest free range pork sausages learning how to link them like a professional (the trickiest bit!)

Once you know how, just imagine enjoying sausages at home seasoned to perfection and made with good quality ingredients!

Sausage making is a super useful skill to have and a great deal of fun! Starting with a little history and using a hand held stuffing machine, you’ll learn everything there is to know about the satisfying art of clean label* sausage making including:
* without additives and preservatives

What’s more they are gluten free friendly too!

Itinerary:

1. Skin preparation
2. Rusk making
3. Seasoning
4. Mixing the filling
5. Creating the sausages
6. Linking skills

This course is suitable for gluten free customers. This experience runs on Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and is available at a cost of just £35 per person for a couple or £40 for individual participants. Sausage stuffing equipment will be available to purchase on the night.

Our brand new Ultimate Pork Pie Making Workshop offers you the chance to make your own pie from the raw ingredients, including making your own hot water pastry and gelatine. The workshop lasts for 3 hours, finishing with the option for you to take away a delicious ploughman’s lunch.

Our original Pie Making Experience is also still available, offering the chance to make your own pie in an evening. Lasting 1½ – 2 hours, the workshop also includes a tour of our bakery and a talk on the history on our company and the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie.
